Crowne Plaza, Richfield Avenue
Planning application submitted for a 132-room budget hotel within the existing hotel car park. Planning application at www.planning.reading.gov.uk/fastweb_PL/detail.asp?AltRef=191088. On 11 December the council’s planning committee unanimously refused this application, believing as we do that this is an inappropriate location. We are now waiting to see how the developer responds.
